Testing and Certification Opportunity for a Container Spreader 

The work required: 

BLOK-Container Systems invites tenders from experienced and qualified mechanical engineering consultants for the complete testing and certification (in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC). The scope of the work includes: 
 
Determine the relevant Hazards and Essential Health & Safety Requirements (using appropriate technical standards, LOLER, PUWER etc) 
Write risk assessments 
Determine test loads 
Design any test equipment 
Supply or procure test equipment and facilities (to include crane, shipping containers, any requisite test rigs and suitable location) 
Manufacture or commission manufacture of any requisite specialist test rigging 
Supply or procure qualified test witnesses and personnel 
Review design documentation with chartered engineer Design and oversee testing program of systems (electronic, hydraulic, control), full operation and load testing 
Write test reports and commission test certificates 
Write safety manual 
Issue certificate of conformity and CE mark 
Timings 
The work is to commence immediately and be completed by 31st October 2018. 
 
Price 
A fixed price quotation is required. All and any shortcomings or unknowns to complete the tender are to be identified. 
 
Location 
Services and testing are to be discharged within easy access of Warwickshire, UK. 
 
Payment terms 
Monthly invoice, settlement 30 days from approval. 
 
Experience 
Suppliers must be able to demonstrate appropriate experience supported by evidence and references.
